My 2015 Reading Assignment List

December 1, 2014 Reading Assignment Challenge 22

I’m so excited about this challenge, but I won’t lie, I’m also a little nervous! I set goals all the time about what books I’ll read and then don’t live up to them. But that’s why I’m so excited about this challenge! It’s time to be accountable. I’ve picked out a few series that I’ve started and told myself I would finish over the past several years and haven’t, plus a few other books I promised myself (or someone else) I would read and haven’t. I’ve limited myself to books I own (or KNOW I can get from the library) and put up a variety of genres. I even have a combination of audiobooks, eBooks, and physical reads. So that SHOULD eliminate the potential excuses!

My 2015 Reading Assignment Goals

So I tried to keep my list to twelve books, but I couldn’t. So my goal is 24 books. That means I need to read 2 books a month and I get 2 possible extra credits if I have to take a pass ever. I’ll be updating my progress every month, so …. Wish me luck!

April:Used 1 pass

I know, I’m so excited! Some of them are series I’ve been neglecting too long, others are series I’ve promised myself to start way too many times!

Smart move Kathy! I think I did that too – but not positive. I know Michelle didn’t, because she chose paperbacks and I think she’s regretting that a bit;) Good luck!

Lol yeah, she gave it to me in 2013 – I suck for not reading it yet. Book 3 isn’t out last I checked, but I think you’re right, it is written. Good luck with your 12 l bet you do better than me because you limited yourself!

I sign up for challenges all the time, thinking I’ll do better. Hopefully this time I nail it. For once, I didn’t set the bar SUPER high and I made sure to pick books I REALLY want to read. Good luck getting to Kate Daniels – I’m just now reading book 2 and loving it!

I see some great books on your list, Berls! Some I’ve read and some that will probably make my list. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m nervous about this challenge as well – trying to decide how high to set the bar. I don’t always do so well when I expect too much of myself. But 24 books is a manageable goal, I think. And we’ll all keep each other on track, I’m sure! Right? Right?? *ha* Okay, gotta go formulate my list.

You bet we will! I could have easily made my list much longer, but decided that I better stick to a couple per month. That way, worst case scenario, I can make a mad dash the last few days and still get my book read!

You have so many good books on this list! The ones I’ve actually read I’ve given all of them 4+ stars (except The Death Cure)! ๐Ÿ˜€

Deer in Headlights is going to be on my list for sure, since I rolled the third book for one of my Random Reads next year. Other than that, I have no idea what I’m doing yet! Maybe sticking to series I need to finish would be a good starting place? Or books I’ve owned for way too long? Or overdue ARCs? Or…I don’t know!

LOL I decided to pick based on how many times I’ve put them on a list somewhere and then not read them. These are ALL repeat offenders. Death Cure’s on there because I HAVE to finish it and making myself may be the only way!

Looks like you have your work cut out for you in 2015 girlie! Mind you, I wouldn’t consider reading / listening to the vast majority of those titles work. All things Jenn Bennett are a MUST, same thing goes for Jennifer Estep, Jeaniene Frost & Rachel Vincent. Good luck with your goals!

I love audios and am more likely to read a book if its on audio, so I figured I’d better give myself the cushion! LOL! Looking forward to seeing your list!

YAY, there are many great books on your list, Berls! I’m sure you’re going to completely rock it!!
I just posted my own sign-up post, because I have so many books, and realized I even have books from favourite series that I haven’t been able to catch up on.
Thanks so much for hosting yet another amazing challenge for us.

I’m so glad you decided to go for it – I’m a planner, but not typically to this extent. But I say I HAVE to read this ARC or that ARC so why not that book I PAID for because I wanted to read it so badly?
