July 27, 2014 Challenges & Readathons, COYER 4

Can you believe that COYER is more than halfway over?!? When we started it felt like we had this long summer ahead but, as usual it’s just flying by!

Facebook & Twitter Games & Giveaway

If you haven’t joined the Facebook group yet, please do! If you have any trouble just shoot me a message with the email you use for FB and I’ll invite you to the group. Anyway one of the games we’re playing over there is Tag! You’re it! Lola kicked things off this week with this get to know you question:

Which genres do you read? Is there a genre you don’t read? Or do you have a favourite genre? And does your preference for certain genre’s depends on the season?

We’re an eclectic group of readers! I don’t think there was a genre that wasn’t mentioned by one of us, and a couple made me think, I really should be reading that. Can’t wait to see what’s up next! The way this works is that out of everyone who replies to the comments we use to select someone who will ask the question next week. So… drum roll….

Tag! Laura of Trips Down Imagination Road! You’re It!

Laura, you’ll need to pose a fun/get to know you question for the group tomorrow (Monday) morning and then from there it will go just like last week. Come by the FB group to see what Laura asks!

We also had Where Are You Wednesday and Freaky Friday on both twitter and FB. From all three activities we used to pick a winner for this week’s swag pack. Drum roll again please… the winner is…

Kyra of Welcome to My Worlds! Congratulations!!

Michelle will be contacting you for information to send you your prize :)

We’re wrapping up the Christmas in July read-a-thon tonight at midnight your time. I’ve done really well with this read-a-thon. I managed to finish my first book on Friday and I’ll be finishing my listen today for sure.

Next weekend we have another read-a-thon – this time it’s New the New To Me Read-a-thon! So get those books by authors you’ve been meaning to read (or narrators you’ve been meaning to listen to) ready for some read-a-thon fun. Sign up coming tomorrow :)

Some Reviews Posted This Week

There are over 250 reviews posted! That’s freaking amazing!

Lark @ The Bookwyrm’s Hoard reviewed Cress by Marissa Meyer. I already loved this book, but Lark’s review was so spot-on she made me realize even more reasons I loved it. Must read review people.

Brandee @ Bookworm Brandee reviewed Her Mad Hatter by Marie Hall. Another book I already read, but it’s by one of my absolute favorite authors and Brandee nails it with her review IMHO so how could I not share?

Michelle @ Book Briefs reviewed Breathe Annie Breathe by Miranda Keneally. I’m so interested in this series and Michelle’s review was one more confirmation for me that I need to read it!

Angie @ Pinkindle reviewed Fragments by Dan Wells. Angie actually reviewed both book 1 & 2 and I have to say, I want to read this series now! The plot and world just sounds so great – definitely a series to check out.

Notes from a Readerholic reviewed The Golden City by J. Kathleen Cheney. This book sounds so good! I love the unique setting and the sounds of the fantasy world. Definitely one to check out.

Of course that’s not even close to a sampling of the reviews posted just last week, let alone during COYER-SV, so be sure to check out all the review links here. There’s bunches of goodies to read!

I hope everyone is having a great time! Let me know how COYER is going for you in the comments!!

Omigosh, thank you for the amazing shout-out! I’ll make sure to read some of the other reviews, too. (Actually already read one or two, but I haven’t been visiting a lot of blogs this week due to too much work.)

You’ve and Michelle have been rocking this challenge – thank you both for hosting it!
