All the best fairytale princesses have the most horrific pasts. Mine just happens to be more horrific than most.

Fantasizing over Vaughn Asher was a dream. Meeting Vaughn Asher was a fairytale. Loving Vaughn Asher was my downfall.

The past is always there. Waiting. Waiting to expose you. Waiting to ruin you. Waiting to take you back.

Sometimes not even a prince can save you.

Holy hell! Each part of this serial just gets more and more intense! Profile ramped things up 100% and I was nervous wreck all the way to the end.

Note: There will be spoilers for previous parts of the serial in this review.

The way that Status ended, I was a nervous wreck. And I never got a break. J.A. Huss can write one sick F#$&! – let me tell you! At the end of Status, Grace is kidnapped by her childhood abductor and Profile is all about her trying to survive the sick F#&! while Vaughn is doing everything in his power to find her.

I loved the strong woman Grace was determined to be and, more than anything, I loved Vaughn’s determination to find her. *sigh* Vaughn is a great hero – very flawed, but good at heart and he loves intensely. And lucky for Grace, he loves her.

After the intensity of Profile, I’m thinking Home has to be the declining action bit (you know, on the plot chart) but there’s at least one more hurdle to overcome before Grace and Vaughn can ride into the sunset. Fingers crossed for them!

    I, of course, know how long ago you read this! πŸ˜‰ But it’s still so nice to see how hooked you are/were on Grace and Vaughn. *sigh* Vaughn is a great hero because he’s flawed…makes him more real. And I adore Grace – she has an inner strength that I admire. πŸ˜€
    Happy Monday, Berls! I hope you enjoy another day of your long weekend and get to do something for YOU! πŸ˜€ {{{hugs}}}

      Lol! Actually I read it ages ago, wrote the review ages ago, and am just now getting around to sharing it. That’s the way it’s going to be with a lot of reviews for the next… 6 months? Year? I have so many back logged reviews!

      This is the series that made me a Hussie πŸ™‚ and while I still have a lot to read, Im happy to join the ranks!

      They sure have! Too bad it didn’t work out for you – I feel like the first one was good, but the way the serial went doesn’t really match the first book at all. Or the second probably.

      You are πŸ˜‰ don’t feel bad I was too, for a long time. This was my first Huss series and I have so many to read still!

    • Berls

      Good, go get to it πŸ˜‰ I borrowed these books, but I have another of her series I could loan you, if you want to be enabled πŸ™‚

    • Berls

      Yeah, you seriously need to. Especially since you’ve come to the dark side and started reading more “adult” books πŸ™‚
