Write On Review-a-Thon Goals January 2017

January 26, 2017 Challenges & Readathons 4

The Write On Review-a-Thon is a challenge hosted by Book Bumblings. From Friday through Sunday, we all band together and write as many reviews as possible. It’s a weekend for you to either catch up on reviews or get ahead on upcoming ones. It doesn’t matter if you write one review or 10 – if you write a review, you’re in. 🙂 Join this month’s challenge here.

It’s been a LONG time since I participated in a Write On Review-a-Thon, and I’m in dire need. Well, I just so happen to have a 3 day weekend this weekend, so I thought, what better time to join in and kill some reviews?

Review-a-Thon Goals January 2017

So I have a lot of reviews to write… we wont talk about how many! My goal is to get the reviews for the rest of this month and all of February (except for my TBR Review) setup. I’ll track my progress here as well, marking off reviews as I complete them.

  • Deja Who
  • Quit Your Witchin’
  • Foreplay
  • Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist
  • Eleventh Grave (if I finish it this weekend)

Just a Few…

These are my Just a Few Books I read reviews, quick reviews, but still time to get them setup.

  • White Trash Zombie #3, #4, #5
  • Winter, The Crown
  • Sideswiped, The Drafter

Kinderland Reviews

  • Gail Gibbons – Monarch Butterfly, Spiders, Dinosaurs

If I get all these done, I’ll be caught up through to March! Yeah, I’d have other posts to setup, but these are some of the most time consuming so that will feel great!

If I wasn’t already tied up this weekend I would jump all over this one. I am more behind on reviews that I’ve ever been. In the past I’ve always written my reviews *immediately* after finishing a book. It was just a habit and I loved doing it while everything was still fresh in my mind. Buuuuut… at some point last year I got out of the habit and it’s been hit and miss since then. Now I’m… uh… 28 reviews behind. Ack! I hate even typing that! I wonder if I can take a week off work just to write reviews? LOL Good luck this weekend, Berls!

Thanks Tanya! And don’t you feel bad… I don’t know exactly how many I’m behind, but it’s over 50, that’s for sure 🙁 Same thing happened with me – I used to be in the habit of writing reviews immediately but in the last 16 – 18 months my life took a whirlwind and I fell out of the habit. Hoping to remedy soon!

I know – I haven’t done it in a while, but it was really helpful when I did it a year or so ago. Two years maybe?

So I’ve had a really rough January at school and my team told me to take a day. Everyone else on the team has had at least 3 days they didn’t come in… I haven’t had 1. Everyone else has left early at least 1 time. I haven’t. So at our weekly team meeting on Wednesday, when I was about ready to cry over the stress of the week, they took my work iPad and entered an absence for me for Friday. They told me not to cancel it and not to come in, no matter what. For reason they put “personal illness” and I was like, “so I’m saying I’ll be sick on Friday? Really?” they said “yep” and typed into the notes, “team mandated mental health day.” LOL! I have to say, I’m glad they made me – I need a day away from my kids, as much as I love them.

      Sorry for the LONG reply! Happy Friday {{Hugs}}
