Top Ten Debuts of 2017 I’m excited for #TTT

I think technically debuts would mean that it’s the first book from the author. But I’m not really aware enough to know brand new authors. However I DO know the books I’m looking forward to. Here they are!

debuts 2017
  1. Echoes in Death by J D Robb. Okay, yeah I’m still on book 24, but this series is so good I think I’ll get to this one (44) by the end of the year.
  2. Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs. Mercy Thompson is a must read for me at all times.
  3. A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sara J. Maas. Technically I still need to read book 2 (which I have for audio review). But I’m fairly confident I’ll like it and want to read this one ASAP.
  4. Starfall by Melissa Landers. I read book 1, Starflight recently and enjoyed it more than expected. I seem to always really enjoy her books, so I’m looking forward to continuing this new series.
  5. Martians Abroad by Carrie Vaughn. After how much I enjoyed her Kitty Norville Series I’ve been anxiously awaiting what’s next for Carrie Vaughn. I’m still waiting to see who will be narrating this and when it will be available in audio – so I may be reading it unlike Kitty!
  6. Gauntlet by Holly Jennings. I stumbled onto this series through a Netgalley read now email and now I’m chomping at the bits to read book 2. Thankfully I just received notification from Netgalley that I get to read book 2 now 🙂 Yay!
  7. Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde. This one caught my eye earlier this year and I’m keeping my eye out for it’s release. I think it stands to be a very good YA LAGBTQ book!
  8. The Gatlon School for Vigilantes by Marissa Meyer. I honestly don’t even know what this is about. But it’s Marissa Meyer. After The Lunar Chronicles and Heartless she’s on my must read list.
  9. The Turn by Kim Harrison. Yay! More Hollows! Need I say more?
  10. White Trash Zombie Unchained by Diana Rowland. I hope this one is really coming in June 2017. I originally saw it coming in October 2016. And then January 2017. So hopefully it’s not endlessly being pushed back. I’m nervous that we don’t have a cover yet.
  11. An Honorable Mention to Eleventh Grave in Moonlight by Darynda Jones. I technically already read this thanks to an ARC I received in October. However, Darynda said the ARC has been changed considerably, plus I want to listen to it. So I’m still super excited to read/re-read it. But I already gave it 5 stars 🙂

What are you looking forward to reading in 2017?

Me too! The Turn is at the top of the list I think because I thought I wasn’t going to get anymore and now I do! Yay!

  1. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

A Court of Wings and Ruin is probably my most anticipated book of the year. Full on grabby hands for that one. What’s crazy is that I am *not* a fantasy reader – but something about this series just does it for me!

Even though I haven’t read the 2nd book yet, I enjoyed the first one so much I feel fairly confident I will enjoy it and be just as eager as you for A Court of Wings and Ruin. I’m a fantasy reader though, so that’s less of a surprise for me 🙂

I had an ARC of The Turn, Berls, and I can tell you already that you are going to love it!! It was a lot of fun to be in The Hollows before it was The Hollows we know and love;)
I need to check out some of the other books you mentioned, as I can’t say I remember hearing of them before.
Have a wonderful Wednesday and happy reading xoxo

Ooooh! Jealous! I’m pretty sure I’m going to love it too – I enjoy Kim Harrison’s work so much. Not too much longer to wait – I’m hoping Marguerite Gavin will be narrating like she did the series. I haven’t seen it on audible yet, which worries me! Happy Sunday xoxo

  3. Literary Feline (Wendy)

I can see why you want to read all these–I do too! 🙂 It’s been too long since I last read Kim Harrison, Patricia Briggs, and Carrie Vaughn. I love their books. I plan to listen to more J.D. Robb’s In Death books this year. Starflight is on my too read list–and I’m sure I’ll want to read Starfall as well. I really want to give Darynda Jones a try. This is a great list, Berls. Thank you for sharing!

I just get excited hearing all those authors names 🙂 They all just produce such greatness! I hope you get to enjoy some of them this year!

  4. Bookworm Brandee

The Turn and Silence Fallen are both on my list of can’t wait to read this year. 😉 And I pre-ordered them in 2016 so that they wouldn’t count against my book buying ban. LOL I intend to read Sarah J Maas and Marissa Meyer this year as well but not their new books…the ones I already have on my shelf. *hangs head*
    Hoping your kiddos were kind to you on their first day back from break!! {{{hugs}}}

LOL very smart! I gave up on the whole book buying ban. But, I have significantly slowed down my purchasing, since I have way more books than I can handle these days anyway. That’s okay, as long as you start reading Mass and Meyer you’ll be making positive progress. Before long you’ll be current with them (and behind on a few others, but that is the life of the bookworm right?). Happy sunday! xoxo

OH you simply must read JD Robb. I can’t believe it took me so long to get going on those books, but now that I have there easily in my top 10 favorites. I have yet to meet someone who’s tried them and not loved them 🙂 Maas is also great, but a whole different genre!

    • Berls

LOL you’re welcome wishlist 😉 I know, the need to catch up is a constant problem for me. Especially because I keep adding to my list of series instead of reducing. *sigh* #bookloversproblems maybe 2017 is the year I catch up *snort*

    • Berls

I love the fae so for me that pulled me in right away. I can’t believe you haven’t read Winter yet – you’re the one who got me into that series!
