Michelle @ Because Reading & I are recapping 2016 and looking ahead to 2017. Feel free to join us. I’ve been busy enjoying a blog break and transferring the blog to a new sever, so I’m reviewing the year in quarters instead of monthly, which Michelle has been doing.
Out With The Old: Q2 2016
Some Quick Facts:
- Books Read: 10 (Apr) + 8 (May) + 9 (Jun) = 27
- Books Reviewed (on the blog): 12 (total, better than the 5 last quarter)
- Favorite Book Read: Wow, so many good reads this quarter! I don’t think I can pick 1, but here are my 5 star reads
(yes, there were a few!)… Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Jubilee Manor by Bethany Hagen, The Rogue You Know by Shana Galen, Seventh Grave and No Body by Darynda Jones, Heartless by Marissa Meyer, Eighth Grave After Dark by Darynda Jones, and The Dirt on Ninth Grave by Darynda Jones
- Favorite Post: I didn’t do anything interesting on the blog in Q2! It was reviews, Sunday Posts, a couple Outlander Thoughts and that’s it.
I started doing a bit better in Q2 – I let myself feel okay with not having a daily posting schedule. Before this point I felt like I was too behind if I wasn’t posting daily. But I still was struggling to visit blogs or keep up any kind of schedule (even with a couple posts a week).
I went to BEA for the first (and maybe last time :(?) in May. It was a blast and I finally got to meet my blogger-wife, Michelle, in person. It was an amazing trip and even more amazing seeing bloggers who I’ve never seen in person (or only 1 time) and picking up as if I saw them just last week. I really hope I get to enjoy a conference like this again some time.
