Michelle @ Because Reading & I are recapping 2016 and looking ahead to 2017. Feel free to join us. I’ve been busy enjoying a blog break and transferring the blog to a new sever, so I’m reviewing the year in quarters instead of monthly, which Michelle has been doing.
Out With The Old: Q1 2016
Some Quick Facts:
- Books Read: 8 (Jan) + 8 (Feb) + 6 (Mar) = 22
- Books Reviewed (on the blog): 5 (total, all three months!)
- Favorite Book Read: I read several good books this quarter. I finished my Calendar Girl binge, read the first 2 books in the Stone Cold Elements series, and read the much anticipated and long waited for Grave Visions by Kalayna Price. But my favorite read brought me back to a favorite character, Shelby, in Devious Minds by Colleen Helme

2016 was a fairly rough year for me and blogging and these three months really show that. It was the new job at a difficult school keeping me from having the time or energy. I tried to do the book of the year and I never managed to finish – it was just too much! Over these three months I only had 5 reviews and there was a total of 29 posts! I never completely disappeared though – my Sunday Posts were fairly consistent – because this community kept me going through my difficult school year.
Thankfully things have been going much better and I think we’ll see a lot more of my blog in 2017. I’m not setting specific goals this year, but I would like to try and do the book of the year brackets 🙂
