My TBR List | November 2016 Voting

November 5, 2016 My TBR List 10

MyTBRList

My TBR List is a meme hosted by Michelle @ Because Reading where we get some help picking out what to read next. We sit for hours looking through our TBR lists wondering when we will ever get to that one book we were dying to read when we added it 3 months ago or maybe even a year. So each month we pick 3 books from our TBRs and let everyone else vote on which one to read. We announce the book the second week and by the end of the month, we review it!

November 2016 Voting

Until this point, I was able to use my #2016HW books for My TBR list. But now that we only have 2 months left in the year (OMG!) I only have 2 books left on my list. So I decided to have y’all pick what book I’ll be reading for Kimba’s Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon. It startes on the 9th… which is before we announce the winning book. BUT, typically I can tell which book is winning WAY before the last day. So fingers crossed for a clear winner!

My Three Choices

All three of these are books I’ve owned for the longest time (got for free or .99 from Amazon) and decided it’s time to give at least one of them a read!

  1. Bah, Humbug!Bah, Humbug! by Heather Horrocks

Lexi Anderson is an up-and-coming, Martha Stewart-type TV hostess whose two kids love the Jared Strong adventure novels, which happen to be written by their new neighbor, Kyle Miller.

For the first time in his writing career, Kyle has writer’s block – until he sees the snowman on his lawn and realizes this is the perfect place for his villain to hide the weapon. He digs into the snowman to discover two things: the weapon fits int he body just under the head, and the snowman was supposed to be the back drop for Lexi’s next show.

From this improbable beginning comes friendship. Can there be more for a woman who is afraid to get close again and a man who has shadows from his childhood?

Families join together and hearts are healed as this couple goes walking in a winter wonderland.

  2. All Wrapped UpAll Wrapped Up by Lisa Alder

Three business partners, one sexy silent night….

Three business partners, two lovers and one very uptight CEO, receive their own holiday bonus: one lust-filled evening after the office party.
Ethan and his lover, former SEAL, Clint give their partner and friend, Mary, one crazy sexy night to discover that partners can have fun in and out of the office.

All Wrapped Up is a short, steamy, holiday read. A present for you after a long day of shopping, wrapping and baking. Get all wrapped up in their down and dirty office romance.

Warning: This short erotic story is intended for mature readers only and features m/f/m and m/m/f menage sex.

  3. The Christmas Catch The Christmas Catch by Ginny Baird

Since the death of her military husband two years ago, single mom Christine White has struggled to get by. By throwing herself into her work as a Chicago copywriter, she’s managed to keep food on the table but has gradually lost sight of what really matters, like building a bond with her four-year-old son. When Christine’s best friend insists she spend Christmas in Vermont so she can get her life in order, Christine initially resists. Little does she know she’s in for a memorable holiday that will reignite her faith and reawaken her heart.

Bachelor professor John Steadman has given up on finding the right one. Spending time with his friends while keeping up with his job seems satisfying enough. Then one day close to Christmas, a beautiful woman from Chicago nearly runs him off the road during a snowstorm. What’s more, she’s got a kid in her car. It’s only natural that John and his trusty golden retriever want to help drag them out of a ditch and steer them toward their destination. What John doesn’t expect is that soon he’ll be hoping Christine and her son will be staying in Vermont – for more than just a little while.

Now Vote!

Three VERY different holiday reads… which one will you pick? I think I’ll learn a lot about my readers with this vote 😉

Thanks for playing along! Now head over to Because Reading for the linky! Even if you’re not joining in, you can vote 🙂

Hahaha I went with Bah Humbug because it sounds cute but honestly, I think you might enjoy them all. And since you’re doing a RAT, maybe you’ll get to them all?!? I was thinking of doing the RAT as well…I haven’t signed up for it or anything but maybe? I also meant to participate in My TBR this month but it slipped past me. So… hopefully I’ll get it done for December.
    You know, I thought since the time changed it’d be so much easier getting up but…not so much. :/ Hope your Monday is off to a good start, Berls! {{{hugs}}}

Well, my choice, The Christmas Catch, sounds like the most traditional of the three (as well as being the least popular, I see from the voting.) But something about it appeals to me. The first one also sounds like fun. Whichever you end up with, I hope you enjoy it!

I have Bah Humbug and A Christmas Catch on my TBR mountain also – so many free reads, so little time, LOL. If either of those end up being your pick, I’ll be curious to see what you thought.

Bah, Humbug sounds super cute! I’m hoping that one wins! Because if not, I’ll just have to read it myself! lol
