What I’m reading September 12, 2016

September 12, 2016 It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 17

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!The Book Date

Since what I’m reviewing on the blog so rarely reflects what I’m actually reading, I thought it would be fun to start sharing with this weekly meme : )

I just finished…

dont-tempt-me
4.5 stars. This was so good – I arrived at work with mascara running from listening while on the way. I finally see the fuss about Lori Foster – it’s a shame I didn’t start with this book!

city-of-light

If I were rating this only on the second half of the book it would be a clear 5 stars for me. It was intense and captivating – but before that point, it dragged for me.

Reading Now…

midnight-marked
I’ve had this one for audio review for a little while now :/

Up Next…

This isn’t definite, but I’m thinking…
sugar-daddy
I’ve wanted to read a Sawyer Bennett for a while and now I have this one for audio review!

I started this one a while ago, but it keeps getting pushed to the side for time-sensitive reads. So I’m hoping to squeeze in the end after Harry Potter.

So that’s What I’m reading this week! What about you?

Oh I actually have Don’t Tempt Me, I won it in a giveaway from Lexie and I have been looking forward to reading it. Now you make me even more curious. I have to see if I can read it soon. It will be the first book I try by her, it sounds like a good book to start with 🙂
That’s too bad City of Light dragged a bit first, but it sounds like the second half made up for that. I hope your current reads are good!

I have added a section in my Sunday post to talk about the books I read that week and in my sidebar what I am currently reading as just like you I felt like I was scheduling everything ahead and then never talking about what I am reading right now. I like the idea of this meme :).

Oh yay, I’m glad you enjoyed sugar daddy – that has me excited 🙂 I can see why everyone likes Lori Foster so much, that book was great.

I’m surprised you haven’t read Keri Arthur, seeing as you like UF! Shes quite good – Ioved her Riley Jenson series.

I’m enjoying the Harry Potter book – took a hit to get used to the screenplay style, but I’m enjoying it still. Loved the Lori Foster – looking forward to the next as well.

I hope you get to listen to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child soon! I read my physical copy of it and LOVED it. I know some people had a hard time with it due to it’s format but I didn’t mind reading it in screenplay!

The format is taking some getting used to, but I’m enjoying it. It’s actually a physical copy for me too – idk if it’s available in audio come to think of it.

I’ve been eyeing that Keri Arthur book. I really liked the Spook Squad series.

I read a bunch of ARCs last week, and now I’m reading Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal — think Jane Austen with illusion magic. Next up? I have no idea, but probably either Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi, or the Hamiltome (Hamilton: The Revolution, by Lin-Manuel Miranda.)

I seriously want to push Furthermore up my list! I’ve had it since May, so I feel bad I haven’t read it yet! I hope you read Arthur’s book, I really enjoyed it.

I *must* make time for Don’t Tempt Me. I got it at BEA and I do like Lori Foster…who knows why I haven’t gotten to it yet. 😉 Also, City of Light…I won it and it’s still sitting on the shelf staring at me. O_O I’m glad it redeemed itself in the end. I have Sugar Daddy in audio for review. I’ll get getting to it soon. I’ve only read 2 books from Bennett but I really like her! So I’m excited for Sugar Daddy. We’ll have to chat about it once we both finish it.
    Happy reading this week, Berls! {{{hugs}}}
