Welcome to the 83rd Edition of My Sunday Post!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.
News at Home
I really can’t believe it’s Sunday already – I’ve had another super busy week and it just flew by! I’ve begun work on the summer volunteer position I always do for Upward Bound – organizing & writing the contest exams & all the documents. I was given a lot of the information earlier than usual this year, so I’m getting an earlier start. I might just work away at it little by little and get it done super easy this time!
Friday I took a 2.5 hour ride on public transportation – bus, train, train, bus – to get to a friend’s house so that we could leave at 6am Saturday morning to go to her sister’s graduation at 10:30am. I had a great time – we’ve been good friends for a long time and – in the words of her family Saturday “You’re always at the major family events, you might as well just be family!” I also got to meet her new born (well 4 weeks on Tuesday) for the first time Friday – I’d seen pictures and had tons of conversations, but because of the aforementioned 2.5 hours hadn’t been able to meet little Riley Madison in person.
She’s so darling and so EASY! Would you believe she already sleeps a good 5-7 hours every night?!? Anway, we got back from the graduation at 6pm, just in time for me to catch the 6:15 train back home (yep, my return trip didn’t include the first bus ride since she was able to drop me off directly at the train station).
I have another really busy week ahaed of me too – the highlights are: New Hire meeting tommorrow, RT Wednesday – Saturay, Brother’s AA graduation Thursday night, oh right and mother’s day today! Phew! And with that – Happy mother’s day to all the mother’s out there!!
I’m still kinda in a funk – not exactly a “I don’t want to blog funk” but a “I don’t have time to blog right” funk. I’m trying, but I’m not visiting near as many of you as I would like and for that I”m really sorry. I hope it will change soon.
Been hard at work preparing for COYER Sign-ups this Saturday as well! Can’t wait!
Blog Ahead Update
Well I only have 3 posts scheduled at the moment, so I’m not doing too hot with this. Maybe I’ll manage it by the 14th but I’m not too optomistic.
Clean Sweep Arc Challenge Update
Another area I’m not doing so hot. I started an audio book for review last week and I’m enjoying it, but I just haven’t been listening as much as usual. And the book I’m reading is an ARC and it’s pretty good. But I’ve been reading it for weeks now! I finally hit the 50% point before falling asleep last night. I hope to finish it in a couple days.
Finally something I’m doing well at! This past Saturday – Friday I did Zumba on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Then I did water aerobics on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I’ve decided I really need to add in some work with weights so after RT this week I’m going to start taking a weekly weight lifting class. My goal is still to average 10k steps daily and to track every bite.
Average steps: 10,7777 steps/day
Days counting calories: 7
Book budget money earned: $2
