April Report Card

Well this month has been one EPIC FAIL for me in the reading & blogging department – I’ve just been in a major funk. But I’m currently listening to one of my #2015HW audiobooks and reading one of my #2015 eBooks. So I might make it. Or I might be taking a pass. I’ll update my progress tomorrow (hopefully!) so you can see then. If you’re racing the clock with me, good luck! And if it wasn’t your best month, like me, just use that pass and put April behidn you 🙂

How’d you do?

It’s your turn to check in! Link up in the linky below to a blog post (or updates to your original sign up post), a Goodreads Update, a Facebook or Twitter post, etc. and let us know:

  1. What books did you read from your list?
  2. Do you need to take a pass or use extra credit? (Don’t forget you have a limited supply!)

    Crap – I can’t remember if I linked up last month…oh well.

So April, yeah I was thinking I was going to have to take a pass. But in the end, I actually finished my books with like 13 hours to spare! Go me! As for you possibly having to take a pass, I say no worries! That’s what the passes are for, right? I am sorry that you’re in a reading/blogging funk though. That stinks. But hey, in just 8 days we’ll be partying down in Big D!! 😀 That’ll help, yeah? *ha*

LOL I bet Michelle could tell you if you linked up – it was on her blog and she’s so much better than me at being a responsible blogger 😀

Congrats on finishing up! I did not, BUT I did finish 1 of the books I was working on yesterday, meaning I’m actually ahead for once. Failing did me some good!

I’m so excited for RT – I put together my list of panels yesterday. We need to exchange notes so we can see which ones we’re both wanting to go to! This isn’t your first RT, right? Because I probably should get some tips!

      • Bookworm Brandee

Yeah, and I’m so responsible. 😛 I don’t have my agenda completely put together yet. (you know, not responsible and all…plus, procrastinator!) But we should definitely compare notes. This isn’t my first RT (it took great restraint to not say ‘rodeo’) but honestly, the first time around for me was so overwhelming. I don’t know that I have good tips. *ha* Are you staying at the hotel?

Well, April is the first month I didn’t finish all my books. I didn’t finish my fourth book for the month, so will have to take a pass.
I’m halfway through that fourth book, so will be finished soon. Maybe I’ll be able to use an extra credit for May and catch up right away.

Woot! Nice job Sharon! Good luck in May, I’m sure you’ll do great 🙂 I’m starting to feel back on track and it’s a relief. It sucks to not feel like reading or blogging, since those are such huge parts of my life!

Thanks Lola, I think I’m back 🙂 I’m sorry about the challenge – don’t give up on the month to month, maybe I can convince Michelle that we need to loosen up a bit 🙂

    Hi

I am participating at level two, i.e. I’ve to read one book per month. Unfortunately, I could not read the book I had selected for in March. What do I do? Do I have to read that book or can I choose anything else from the shelves but which I had not listed earlier. Please clarify. Thanks in advance.

Hi Neer – don’t worry, I think this was a rough month for a lot of us. Here’s what you need to do – wherever you’re tracking your challenge progress – whether it’s monthly or a page you update – you need to indicate that for the month of April you’re taking a pass. Since you’re level two, you get one pass this year, which you’re using now. Then in one of the months between now and the end of the year, you’ll read two books off your homework list (so the book for that month plus the book for April) instead of just one and that month you’ll claim your extra credit. That way you can catch up. And if you’re not able to catch up, no worries, you can still particpate in the monthly giveaways, just keep going on your list. Does all that make sense? Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks Ramona 🙂 I just feel like I’ve been SO out of it lately. But I’ve been missing the blog, which is a really good sign that I’m pulling out of the funk! Fingers crossed it sticks!

I know, I feel the same way. Do you have a lot of review books for May? You could get started on your #2015HW now for May… I think that’s what the ones I started are going to be for me actually – just a head start on next month.

Good luck! I’m definitly not finishing mine this month – now that it’s 5pm I know for sure 🙁 But I figure that means I’ll finish them early in April and I’ll be ahead for once! *knocks on wood*
