Winter 2014-2015 #COYER Update |Week 3

January 10, 2015 COYER 7

WinterCoyerUpdate

I don’t have a lot to report as far as my COYER progress goes. I haven’t read that much considering that it’s week 3, but I’m moving along okay. For the New Year’s Read-a-thon I only managed to read one book, but I’m hoping to do better with the next one.

Here’s what I’ve read for COYER so far:

Read-a-thon & Mini-Challenge Reminder

Last week I told y’all all about how we had the Dusting Off the Shelves Read-a-thon starting on the 7th or something… well Just Kidding! LOL I jumped the gun a bit. That read-a-thon actually kicks off tomorrow – which means you can still sign up.

Also a reminder that the Scavenger Hunt Read-a-thon sign up cut off is coming up pretty soon – January 20th. The Read-a-thon doesn’t start until January 25th, but since we have to send you the scavenger hunt items and give you some time to plan, this one has an earlier cut off date. Michelle and I finalized the scavenger hunt this past week and I’m super excited with what we’ve come up with. I think that this one will be more fun the more people we have participating, so you can talk about the books you’re finding to meet our crazy objectives – so go sign-up for that before it’s too late. Don’t forget, you don’t have to do a post when you sign up, just get yourself on the list :)

Last, but certainly not least, go check out Lexxie’s 3 Historical Romances in 3 Weeks challenge! I’m about halfway done with my first book for this – Never Judge a Lady By Her Cover and it’s so good! Lexxie’s got an amazing giveaway to go along with this, so don’t miss it!

Some Reviews Posted This Week

Okay, wowza y’all! We haven’t been going that long, but somehow you’ve reviewed over 120 books! Give yourselves a round of applause, that’s flipping fantastic!! Am I keeping up with reading all of them… nope :( Sorry, but there’s just no way I can keep up! But I’m reading as many as I can… here’s some titles and reviews that totally caught my eye this week:

I had to check out Chelsea’s review of Ticker by Lisa Mantchev, because it’s one I grabbed with the Kindle First a month or so ago. Check out Chelsea’s review – she liked it and has some great thoughts about how it worked as a YA Steampunk!

I’ve recently spotted a review for The Young Elites that has me dying to read it, so of course I HAD to read Lillian’s review for it – and yay, she liked it too! Check out Lillian’s review for all the details, complete with some fun gifs!

A cover that totally caught my attention because I’d never seen it before was Twisted Fate by Norah Olson. Jennifer did an awesome job reviewing this book and giving us a feel for this book and I think I may have to check it out. I need to see the twist at the end for myself! Check out Jennifer’s review if you’re curious like I was!

Such a great variety of books showing up in the linky, go check it out – not just to link up but to read reviews because y’all are rocking it!

Be sure to head over to Stormi’s post for an update on what’s going on with the Social Media games! See if you won something and what’s up next :)
I hope everyone is having a great time! Let me know how COYER is going for you in the comments!!

I missed the date for dusting off, which sounded like the only read-a-thon that could get my attention. I’m not too big of a fan of romance (actually I hate it) and I don’t really read horrors.

There are hardly any e-books on my TBR, unless you consider the act of downloading being on TBR list. 😛

I’m 36,5% with my first e-book (from three). Reading it usually on the bus only, at home I read paper or comics online. 😀

I feel so sad as I am still reading my second book, it feels like I am reading so little cmpared to the others :(. I did sign-up for the Scavenger Hunt Read-a-thon although I probably won’t get a lot of books read durign it, I still want to participate in a read-a-thon.
