- Favorite Post: Dewey’s 24 Hour #ReadAThon 2014 Wrap Up!
October was an AMAZING month in the book world for me! I went to my first ever author events and went to THREE! The number of authors I met at the three events combined is impossible to list, but the highlights: Marissa Meyer, Kim Harisson (twice! And her husband, who’s great!), Jennifer Ashley, and Sophie Jordan. But really, that hardly skims the surface. I was a bit nervous at first, but now I’ll jump at the opportunity to go to author events – like RT in 2015. So excited!!!
I also participated in Dewey’s 24 hour readathon for the first time and it was SO MUCH FUN! I will most definitely be participating again and I’m already working on my game plan so that I can actually make it all 24 hours next time. I was pretty close – 19.5 hours this time!
In With The New: Goal #10
My mom moved in with us October 1st and that meant I had to move a lot of things around to make space. I ended up doing a lot of DIY projects around the house and one of the ones I’m happiest with is my treadmill desk. I just love that thing and I use it several hours a day. It’s helped me really up my steps – which is goal #10.
I spent 2014 building up – I did 4 5ks and went from walking roughly 4,000 steps daily to averaging between 8k-10k a day. Now I want to maintain that – my goal is to average at least 10k steps daily I 2015. And now that I’ve got that down I also want to start journaling my eating. All this is going to be more successful because of Fitbit + Book Blog Walkers (or whatever they call it in 2015). These two tools have made 2014 the first year EVER I’ve stuck to a fitness resolution. I’m looking forward to doing that again in 2015. Not to mention, if I’m good, I earn money for my book buying budget
Do you remember October? Do you have fitness goals? Have you joined the Book Blog Walkers community yet?
