A Month of Giving Thanks is a month-long challenge. Every day from November 1st to November 30th I will be sharing the love and being thankful by spotlighting some bloggers and books that I’ve been thankful for this year.
Please note that there is no way that I will be able to express my gratitude to everyone of you in just 30 days. I love everyone who visits the blog and even if I don’t get to single you this year, please know that I appreciate you!
A Month of Giving Thanks Day 5
Today I’d like to thank:
This is another compact day since I over the whole gang at Rabid Reads. I met Carmel first, towards the end of my first month as a blogger thanks to the event she co-hosts with Jennifer @ The Book Nympho – Romp VS Stomp. I quickly realized that Carmel and I had a lot in common. Even though she was representing Romp at that time, Carmel is more of an Urban Fantasy fan than Paranormal Romance – like me. After that I was hooked on Rabid Reads. Carmel is so fun and has a serious obsession with wolves. She’s my favorite Canadian 😀
This year (I think in January, but not sure) Carmel added a new reviewer to her blog – Jessica. The first review I read by Jessica I was laughing so hard I was crying a bit. I was like, “Who is this? I love her!” Jessica has read everything I wish I’ve read. She’s constantly adding books to my TBR because we have very similar tastes in books. She’s hilarious and so SOUTHERN – which I adore. Her reviews are a real treat to read, even if you aren’t interested in the book (which happens rarely), because they are infused with her personality. Rabid Reads has two other reviewers – Stacie and Lorna – and I haven’t gotten to know them as well as individuals. I do, however, enjoy reading their reviews and have added quite a few books to my tbr because of them.
The number of books the gang at Rabid Reads hooked me on is so long, I easily could have done a post for each (except that’s four days instead of one). But Carmel is most definitely associated with one of my favorite series, since she works with the author and hooks me up with each new release for review.
Today I’m thankful I discovered:
I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Series: Eternal Mates #1
Published by Independent on November 30, 2013
Genres: Paranormal Romance
Olivia thinks it’s her lucky night when a dangerously handsome unconscious fae ends up on her inspection table. He’s her chance to redeem herself with her employer, the demon-hunting organisation, Archangel. But when the tall, dark and deadly immortal warrior awakes, she gets much more than she bargained for…
Attacked by his enemy in the elf kingdom, the last thing Prince Loren expects when he comes around is a beautiful angel watching over him and medical technology of the mortal realm. Hazy from his injuries, all he can focus on is the pulse ticking in her throat and the sweet allure of her blood.
One single bite reveals she is his eternal mate, triggering a bond between them that will leave him weakened until it is complete… or broken, and pulling Olivia into the crossfire of his ancient feud.
To protect his people and his mate from the machinations of a madman, Loren must risk everything by working with Olivia at Archangel to find a way to break the bond blossoming between them.
But will Loren be strong enough to place duty before desire and give up the one thing he has waited millennia for and craves above all others—his eternal mate? And will Olivia be able to resist the incredible heat that burns between them and the temptation of her dark prince’s kiss?
I’m current on this series and have to say, it ONLY GETS BETTER and BETTER. If you’re a fan of paranormal romance, I highly recommend picking up this series by Felicity Heaton.
Go give Carmel, Jessica, Stacie and Lorna @ Rabid Reads some love and add Kissed by a Dark Prince to your Goodreads shelves!
