A Month of Giving Thanks

Hosted by Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun and Michelle @ Because Reading. #30daysofThanks is originally hosted by The Geeky Blogger and with Felicia’s permission, we adopted something similar, and hope you’ll join us!

A Month of Giving Thanks is a month-long challenge. Every day from November 1st to November 30th I will be sharing the love and being thankful by spotlighting some bloggers and books that I’ve been thankful for this year.

Please note that there is no way that I will be able to express my gratitude to everyone of you in just 30 days. I love everyone who visits the blog and even if I don’t get to single you this year, please know that I appreciate you!

A Month of Giving Thanks Day 12

Today I’d like to thank:

Bookwyrm's Hoard

I’m 90% sure I first found Lark through The Sunday Post, but I’m not positive. I got to know her much better through COYER, though I didn’t realize it at first. See I got to know her in the facebook group (with her real name) and didn’t connect the dots until a few weeks ago. LOL! This is not the first or last time something like that happened.

Lark is incredibly sweet and genuine. One of my favorite things about the Bookwyrm’s Hoard is Lark’s weekly News and Notes posts. She has so much book related info and single-handedly keeps me informed!

The book – series really – that I’m thankful for today I discovered through the combined efforts of Michelle & Jessica. But as much as I loved this book, I didn’t realize how great it was until reading Lark’s incredible review. I seriously was like – oh, right, that’s another reason to love this book!

Today I’m thankful I discovered:

A Month of Giving Thanks Day 12Cress by Marissa Meyer
Narrator: Rebecca Soler
Series: The Lunar Chronicles #3
Published by Feiwel & Friends, Macmillan Audio on February 4, 2014
Genres: Fantasy, Science Fiction, Young Adult
Pages: 550
Length: 15 hours 40 minutes
Format: Audiobook
Source: Library

In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.

While I have reviewed Cress you really should check out Lark’s review, its way better – I had a bit of reviewer envy actually – and has really stuck with me.

Go give Lark @ The Bookwyrm’s Hoard some love and add Cress to your Goodreads shelves! Who are you thankful for? Add your links below and visit the other participating bloggers 🙂
