Welcome to the 57th Edition of my Sunday Post!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.
I’m going to keep this super short because I just finished a 5k and while it was fun I’m super tired and just want to crawl into bed with Heir of Fire! Anyway besides the 5k, this week I just played the waiting game. And waited. And waited. (made myself kinda sick to my stomach waiting actually, couldn’t eat anything!) And never heard anything. 🙁 I don’t know what’s up – since they assured me they would be in contact even if I didn’t get the job. I’m holding out a sliver of hope because a friend who works at the university said they’ve had a major computer virus crises university wide and perhaps that’s slowed things down. But mainly, I think I’m back to the job search Monday. 🙁
Anyway, hope y’all had a great week!

Great books! I haven’t read Heather Blake but I’ve read several under Heather Webber. Congratulations on the 5K! I hate the waiting when it comes to the job search. I hope you hear something back soon. If not I hope something great comes up. Have a fantastic week!

Wow, you went on a book buying binge! The Mercy book is worth the money, honest. You can see my review – http://beasbooknook.blogspot.com/2014/09/group-review-of-shifting-shadows.html
I like the covers for the Heather Blake books, I’ll have to check those out. 🙂
Sometimes, companies don’t call back, even when they promise. It sucks. 🙁 I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. Now to rest up for your 5K!

I did indeed – Labor Day sales & preorders got me! I’m glad to hear that Mercy was worth it – I do love her, so I couldn’t resist, but I worry spending almost my entire’s months book budget (which I’m obviously over) on 1 book. I’ll be sure to check out your review.
Thanks – I need all the finger crossing luck I can get 🙂

I’m sorry you haven’t heard anything about the job, Berls. My experience is that that often happens even when they say they’re making a decision by a certain date. So don’t give up hope, but don’t give up the job search either.
Wow, you got lots of good books this week. I hope you have a great week with great news!

Thanks Jan. I ended up getting a rejection letter via snail mail. Not what I wanted obviously, but it’s better than not knowing. It seems it was down to me and one other person though, so I feel better about that.

That’s so annoying you still haven’t heard back about the job interview. It is possible they reply late, I’ve had that a few times that they responded a week later then they mentioned about a job interview. or sometimes they interview the candidate they are probably going to choose and only after they made their final descision notify the other candidates.
Let’s hope you get some good news soon! And it never hurts to keep job searching while waiting to hear back, although I have to say I always stop job searching when I had a promising job interview. I’ve taken this month off job searching, I probbaly will start next month again.
Great haul you have this week! I’ve read and enjoyed Aces Wild and Guns. Alpha was a DNF for me, but I’ve heard soem other bloggers who did enjoy it. I never got past Magic Bites, it just wans’t the series for me, although a lot of bloger say the series get’s really good in the second book.

Turns out they sent rejections snail mail 🙁 Took forever that way, but at least I did hear something. Even as a rejection, it’s better than any uncertainty.
I’ll be interested to see how I feel about Alpha and Magic Bites – I tend to be forgiving with first books, but lately I’ve been less so, so who knows!

LOL the best I’ve ever managed is one for one book club and two for the other. I usually am interested in others and just can’t get to them 🙁 I’m ready for Monday with two books read though, thanks to reading the wrong book last month lol
