So if you haven’t managed to sign-up for COYER-SV yet, this week is the Sign-up Cut-Offs. August 15th is the cut off for getting that intro post up and linked. I’m pretty sure everyone has, but make sure you have your sign up post linked here.

I’m doing pretty good with my reading, but I realized I’ve read a few books that won’t make it in time for COYER reviews. Oh well 🙁 Here’s the reviews I posted last week:

Not too bad – 1 meh and 2 greats 🙂 I hope everyone is enjoying their reads!

Since we’re coming to the last few weeks of COYER-SV, I’m planning to sprint my way there (as much as possible) & have joined the Beat the Heat Read-a-thon. It runs from August 11 – September 1 and is a perfect match with COYER. Check out the details with the hosts – Phantasmic Reads and Novel Heartbeat. Hope you’ll join the fun with me!

Facebook & Twitter Games & Giveaway

If you haven’t joined the Facebook group yet, please do! If you have any trouble just shoot me a message with the email you use for FB and I’ll invite you to the group. Anyway one of the games we’re playing over there is Tag! You’re it! Tiffany kicked things off this week with this get to know you question:

What new foods have you been exposed to through your reading? Did you run out and try it? Is there anything in particular that stands out? Do you remember what book you read it in?

This was a cool question and I learned a lot about book inspired food. Lots of Harry Potter references – I haven’t tried any but I’m tempted. Can’t wait to see what’s up next! The way this works is that out of everyone who replies to the comments we use random.org to select someone who will ask the question next week. So… drum roll….

Tag! Katherine of I Wished I Lived In a Library! You’re It!

Katherine, you’ll need to pose a fun/get to know you question for the group tomorrow (Monday) morning and then from there it will go just like last week. Come by the FB group to see what Katherine asks!

We also had Where Are You Wednesday and Freaky Friday on both twitter and FB. From all three activities we used random.org to pick a winner for this week’s swag pack. Drum roll again please… the winner is…

Laura of Trips Down Imagination Road! Congratulations!!

Michelle will be contacting you for information to send you your prize 🙂

Read-a-thon!

This weekend we’ve been doing the Scary Stories by the Campfire read-a-thon and I’ve been reading my first ever horror. And like the brilliant person I am, I’ve been reading it mainly at night. What can I say, that’s my reading time. But yeah, I’ve been very freaked out and jumpy.

Next weekend we have another read-a-thon – this time it’s Short & Sweet Read-a-thon! I like this one because I think I can blow through quite a few books 🙂 Sign up coming tomorrow 🙂

Some Reviews Posted This Week

We’re pushing 375 reviews posted! I’m blown away by how many books y’all are reading and reviewing! Here’s a few that caught my eye this week:

Angie @ Pinkindle reviewed Mindspeak by Heather Sunseri. This one peaked my interest because I already owned it as a Kindle freebie and I was excited to see that Angie enjoyed it.

Michelle @ Book Briefs reviewed Tortured Souls by Kimber Leight Wheaton. I’ve had my eye on this one for a little while, seeing as I tend to long YA Paranormal. Michelle has a couple giveaways with this one too 🙂

Laura @ Trips Down Imagination Road reviewed Death Dealer by Ashley Robertson. This review grabbed my attention because I won this book almost a year ago and still haven’t managed to read it 🙁 So I was really excited to see that Laura really enjoyed the book!

Brandee @ Bookworm Brandee reviewed Bound Forever by Hannah Peach. Besides the fact I was drooling over the cover, Brandee’s review has me excited to read this duology.

Of course that’s not even close to a sampling of the reviews posted just last week, let alone during COYER-SV, so be sure to check out all the review links here. There’s bunches of goodies to read!

I hope everyone is having a great time! Let me know how COYER is going for you in the comments!!

First ever horror? It’s one of my favorite genres. I hope you’re enjoying it, being a little freaked out is part of the fun!

I know, what’s up what that? I’ve read suspense but I’m such a chicken that all the horrors on my tbr just stay there. I really enjoyed Cruelty though – it scared me bunches and I’ll never look at a doll the same – but yeah, it was fun. Maybe I’ll even break out some of those other horrors now 🙂
