What I Plan to Read

I have to read Crown of Midnight, since Heir of Fire comes out on September 2nd. So I won’t be reading a book with a fall/school theme this weekend. I do, however, have an audio read picked out that I’ve been wanting to read for a long time. It has Academy in the title, so though I have no idea how much the school is part of it, I say it counts. Hopefully I’ll manage to finish it this weekend.

Vampire Academy

What are you planning to read?

Gah! I wish I had time to join in this challenge. But I’m trying to finish up some review reads for September since I’m going to be traveling some. I do hope you love Vampire Academy…it was the first post-Twilight book I read and I loved it! In fact, it’s one of the few series – including Bloodlines – that I’m caught up on. Oh, I guess I can’t say that since I have Silver Shadows to read…so one of the few series I’m only behind in by one book. How’s that?!? 😛

Everyone seems to love Vampire Academy, but the first book was only okay for me. I do see serious potential though, so I’m thinking I’ll stick with it for sure. First books can have issues that are solved as the series grows, so I tend to be pretty forgiving, especially if I see good potential.

Yep, it’s the first! I’ve been meaning to read it for a while and this seemed a decent excuse! So far I’m enjoying it, though I’ve been distracted and haven’t read nearly as much as I’d hoped.

So far I am! I should have read a lot more than I have so far, but I’ve had so many blog projects to work on this weekend… hopefully this afternoon I can listen away while doing some mindless blog work 🙂
