Sunday Post | 50th Edition

July 20, 2014 Sunday Post 34

Sunday Post
Welcome to the 50th Edition of the Sunday Post!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

You ever get to the end of the week feeling super exhausted, knowing you were super productive, and not really remembering what you actually did all week? That’s where I’m at right now. I did something to my back today (well Saturday, when I’m writing this) and it could be worse, but I’m really thankful I bought my BF a great Shiatsu chair back massager for his birthday! LOL!

This weekend has been a mini-bloggiesta weekend and I’m hard at work to try and get a bunch of work done. One of my top goals was to get through those unanswered comments. As I write this I’m down to 199 unanswered comments and we’re starting to get to the really old stuff. So you may be getting some unexpected replies from me today if you haven’t already 😉 Also today we have the first #COYER Twitter Chat at 2pm EST (3pm CST) – hope all you COYER-SV participants will join us!

Have a great week everyone!

I really enjoyed this week’s Tell Me Something Tuesday at Rainy Day Ramblings – What is worse? An open ending or a cliffhanger ending?

I stumbled upon this interesting piece from author Angel Lawson – Authors and Bloggers: How do you navigate this co-dependent relationship?

New Additions to My Shelf

I was naughty and went on NetGalley this week, but I didn’t do too bad. Plus I’m really excited about the books I was approved for!

Comments have been slaying me the past couple of weeks! Good luck catching up. I need to do the same! I’m so behind on submitting my reviews to COYER it’s just sad. NetGalley is a killer but it does look like you got some great ones. I almost requested The Barefoot Queen but I’m trying to keep my requests way down. I’m looking forward to your review of it though! Have a great week!

I made great progress and am currently working on comments from April 😮 I’m going to try to work on them some more today. My goal is to be caught up by the end of this week. And no worries about submitting reviews – you’ve still got time 🙂 NetGalley sucked me in AGAIN last night, so we’ll see if I get approved and sink myself a bit further! LOL Have a great week Katherine!

Sorry to hear you had a crummy health week 🙁 Whenever something aches I get a bit worried since I’m still youngish – you’re so right, it’s a definite wake up call! I need to stretch more, I’m awful at it and should at least stretch when I workout but I don’t :/ Hope you have a better week Steph!

Keeping up with comments is one of my downfalls, but you’re doing great catching up! NetGalley is such a temptation; I really need to stay off there. 😀 Happy reading!

I’ll try to be at the Twitter chat but my to-do list today is long.

I hope you can make it Bea, but I totally understand having a lot on your plate 🙂 yes, comments are so hard to keep up with and yet I love them so much so I really want to make sure I’m replying to everyone. One of my favorite parts of blogging is talking to other bloggers and the comments are the main way we can do that after all!

Have a great week Bea 🙂

Some of the comments you replied to I got notified for and I had to go back to read what I wrote LOL So glad you have them almost finished, I know that was adding to a lot of stress for you not responding. I always feel bad if I can’t respond to someone and it takes me to long.

I am also doing very good with bloggiesta. I only have 3 more Author Spotlights to set up and about 15 new authors to get intouch with today. It should be a busy day.

Looking forward to our COYER twitter chat later. Made sure to have Scot take the kids out while I do it.

Have a great week Kim Talk to you soon…like in 3 hours 😉

LOL Ha, just wait – some of these are going to go back into MAY! Yeah I’m behind but determined! It should tell you what you said in the comment I replied to in the reply notification. But I can see needing to go back to the post to know what was going on. Talk to you soon – I need to charge my phone, it’s almost dead!

Thanks for the reminder about the Coyer twitter chat, I’ll try to make it! I am happy it’s so early as here in the Netherlands it’s 6 hours later then in the US.
I hope your next week will be less busy, although having a productive weke once in a while can be nice as well.

Thanks Lola! Me too 🙂 I hope you can make the Twitter Chat – we tried to pick a time that wouldn’t be too late for those of you over seas and not too early for those of us in the states. It’s tricky, all these time zones! Have a great week 🙂

The Barefoot Queen has a fab cover, I must jump over to amazon and see is it still a freebie.

Good luck with the commenting. I hate not replying as I do appreciate every comment but sometimes they slip away and I never get back to them. I usually just start fresh again do I admire your dedication in catching up.

The Barefoot Queen was at NetGalley – but it should still be there 😉

Thanks, I need it! I love comments but every now and then they get away from me – I’m kinda recovering for a crazy month where I barely kept up with the necessities, let alone comments. But I really want to get back to a point where I’m not behind on them.

Have a great week Trish 🙂
