#COYER-SV Update | Twitter Party Today!

July 20, 2014 Challenges & Readathons, COYER 4

Today’s the first Twitter Party!! I’m excited for this because we haven’t been as active on Twitter this COYER as we have been other ones and I’ve missed a few voices that aren’t present in the Facebook Group. So I really hope we’ll see you all at the Twitter Party. It’s at 2PM EST TODAY and we’re using #COYER. I actually created a room at twchat – you don’t have to use the room, but it *should* be an easier way to follow the conversation.

Facebook & Twitter Games & Giveaway

If you haven’t joined the Facebook group yet, please do! If you have any trouble just shoot me a message with the email you use for FB and I’ll invite you to the group. Anyway one of the games we’re playing over there is Tag! You’re it! Michelle @ Because Reading kicked things off this week with this get to know you question:

We all know that we LOVE to read but what other things do you enjoy (watching, doing, etc) when you are not reading?

It was so neat seeing all the things everyone does! So many gardeners, knitters, and my personal favorite side conversation- video gamers πŸ˜‰ Can’t wait to see what’s up next! The way this works is that out of everyone who replies to the comments we use random.org to select someone who will ask the question next week. So… drum roll….

Tag! Lola @ Lola’s Reviews! You’re It!

Lola, you’ll need to pose a fun/get to know you question for the group tomorrow (Monday) morning and then from there it will go just like last week. Come by the FB group to see what Lola asks!

We also had Where Are You Wednesday and Freaky Friday on both twitter and FB. From all three activities we used random.org to pick a winner for this week’s swag pack. Drum roll again please… the winner is…

Rachael @ Rachael Turns Pages! Congratulations!!

Michelle will be contacting you for information to send you your prize πŸ™‚

Next weekend we have another read-a-thon – this time it’s Christmas in July! So get those holiday books ready for some summer holiday fun. Sign up coming tomorrow πŸ™‚

Some Reviews Posted This Week

When Michelle and I decided to do these weekly updates we said we’d include links to some reviews we read over the past week – but I’d been so behind that I haven’t been doing it πŸ™ I’m on track now though! Can I also just say Wow! There are almost 200 reviews posted! That’s freaking amazing!

Lexxie @ (Un)Conventional Book Views reviewed The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith. This one turned out to be different than I expected and I’m really interested to read it!

Lori @ Romancing the Dark Side reviewed Ruthless by Anne Stuart. I have this one on audio already, so I was super excited to see her positive review!

Angie @ Pinkindle reviewed Welcome, Caller, This is Chloe by Shelley Coriell. I hadn’t heard of this one before but I love the sounds of it. Totally made me think of Mean Girls and I added it to my TBR!

Kathy @ My Nook, Books and More reviewed Accidentally Married On Purpose by Rachel Harris. I have to say that title is what drew me to this book. How do you get married accidentally on purpose? This wasn’t the first time I’ve seen this book reviewed recently and it’s most definitely on my TBR.

Of course that’s not even close to a sampling of the reviews posted just last week, let alone during COYER-SV, so be sure to check out all the review links here. There’s bunches of goodies to read!

I hope everyone is having a great time! Let me know how COYER is going for you in the comments!!

Ah I totally forgot to stop by the twitter chat! Even after being reminded this morning *facepalm*, I was doing something else and then only remembered about it when I saw this posts. I hope I can attend the next twitter chat, there will be more, right?
I’ll already have an idea for a question tomorrow :). So far this challenge is a lot of fun and I’ve gotten quite some reviews written already!
