Fun in the Sun!

This weekend, Friday July 4th – Sunday July 6th, we’re celebrating summer with the Fun in the Sun Read-a-thon! Here are the rules:
The Rules
1. Sign up on the linky below. No link required – just give us your name so we know you’re joining in.
2. Sometime between now and the end of the read-a-thon post on your blog, twitter, FB, Google+, Goodreads, Booklikes (you get the idea… somewhere!) that you’re participating. That’s the link you’ll need for the Rafflecopter.
3. Read books with beach or ocean/lake/etc or some sort of summer activity on the cover. Get in the summer vacation mood. When you finish a book do a general update with a link that you can put on the Rafflecopter. Example – on Goodreads you could write: “Great, cute book! 4 stars! Full review coming soon!” and that would count. (For COYER participants, just do something quick and then update with full review for COYER linky)
4. Have FUN!!!

Grab the button for your posts if you’d like 🙂

Giveaway
Here’s the Rafflecopter for participants! This will open up on Friday and stay open until the 12AM Monday July 7th! Good luck 🙂

I’m excited for the readathons! I went and looked for books and this one, the holiday themed and fall themed books were the hardest for me. lol For this, The Spring by Clifford Irving was the only one I found on my TBR, other than that I have Nicholas Sparks’ books 🙂

The fall themed one was the hardest for me – we kinda opened up to include books with a school theme, since fall also signals back to school. We’ll share that detail with the readathon sign up post but thought I’d let you know now 🙂

Wish I could, but I’ve got four books to read by the middle of next week, and none of them has anything summery on the cover. And since one of them is looong (Harkness’s The Book of Life), I’d probably better focus on them. (Also I will be out of town on Saturday, probably all day, with not much time to read. Sigh.) Next time, I hope!

Too bad – but that’s why we’ve got tons of readathons this summer, everyone should get at least one opportunity to jump in 🙂 Enjoy your trip!

Surely with all the books I have to review, etc I can find something with a beach or lake or summer theme..lol.

LOL I went through all my books thinking the same thing. I did find quite a few, then the trick was picking which ones I really WANT to read 😀

Yay! I’m glad the readathon is giving you an excuse to get to it! Next weekend’s fairy tale one is going to be my weekend to get to books I’ve been dying to read. Then the question will be how many can I read in a weekend? LOL

As I’m one of those people who read fantasy in the middle of the summer I’ll hardly find a cover like that there 😉 Still I really hope you’ll have fun and read some amazing books. Great post 🙂

I’m really excited about this readathon! I have a question though – I’m unable to get to the facebook group. Is it because my facebook profile isn’t connected to my blog? Help! I don’t want to miss out on the fun!

It’s not your fault, FB has been giving a lot of people trouble getting connected to the group. I think it’s because we have the group set to private, but still! I sent an invitation to the email you used to leave this comment – hopefully that will work. If not, shoot me an email with whatever email you use for FB and we’ll try that 🙂
