Sunday Post | 41st Edition

May 18, 2014 Sunday Post 48

Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

It’s been another busy week for me, between traveling back from St. Louis and trying to get back into my routine here in Dallas. I participated in Bout of Books for the first time and though I do have until the end of the day today, I can say that I did not do nearly as well as I would have liked. I finished two books I had already started and if I’m lucky I’ll finish another before the end of the day today. I really didn’t get a chance to connect at all either, so I’m going to have to try again next time around and hopefully do much better.

Speaking of readathons and reading challenges, I’m really excited to tell y’all about what Michelle @ Because Reading and I have done with COYER for the summer. We’re taking COYER on Summer Vacation and all the details will be out this week – 1 month before the event kicks off. Hope you’ll join us (again)!

That’s it for me – Hope y’all had a great week!!

I know I think my problem is a combination of not great books and a change in reading mood. I really need to read some historicals right now – it’s what I’m feeling so after I finish my current reads (which are much better than the others thank goodness) I’m clearing the calendar for a change of pace.

I haven’t read Cinder or Splintered yet, even though I do have the books! I am just so behind on all the series. And how fun you have an audio book with James Marsters (I loved him as Spike!), so that sounds really fun. Have a great week!

SQUEE! I’m such a Spike fan girl it’s ridiculous. I listened to an audiobook that James Marsters narrated with his American voice and I was a bit disappointed, but I’m assuming he’ll be 100% british here, so I’m looking forward to it! And for $0.99 I couldn’t resist – The Importance of Being Earnest is a favorite of mine already.

You know me – I can’t resist a reading challenge… even when I really should! LOL I’m looking forward to reading Splintered, I’ve known for a while it was one I wanted to read and I just couldn’t pass up that deal!

LOL I found both lists challenging – though once I got going I realized there were a few more things I hate than I realized!! I hope you get to join us on the readathon – it’s going to be pretty flexible and lots of fun 🙂 Have a great week!

As that post stands I’m not hitting 101. I keep trying to think of things, but I try so hard to be positive in my day-to-day life that the list doesn’t really come easily! LOL Have a great week too 🙂

Welcome home (Dallas is home, yes?) and I hope you feel settled in soon. Nice haul this week — I love The Importance of Being Earnest! I’m looking forward to COYER, too; I could definitely use it. Will ARCs count, or only books we’ve bought/downloaded free?

Yep, Dallas is home and it’s SOOO good to be back! I love the Importance of Being Earnest – it’s a favorite of mine and with James Marsters narrating and just $0.99 I could resist!

Yes – all the details come out tomorrow, but there will be a lot of flexibility this time on what books count – including ARCs. 🙂

That’s what I hear – and when I saw that daily deal (and I had a $5 credit, so it was free to me) I couldn’t pass it up! COYER Summer Vacation is going to be so much fun – I’m very excited to spill the details 🙂

I didn’t do so well on Bout of Books either. Things just got so crazy! I don’t even think I will be putting up a closing post because I didn’t connect, post anything or read as much as I wanted to. I will see how today goes. If I get a chance I will write a little something 🙂

So glad you are home safe and sound!

    I CAN’T TO SHARE COYER!!!!

Gah me too! My problem was that I got stuck in a DNF book. Those always kill me because I take too long to call it quits and they send me into a reading funk. And considering that I was barely recovering from a reading funk, it was so not good for me.

Thanks Greg – it seems that this past week hasn’t been too amazing for anyone – I keep reading Sunday Posts with bad news all over them! I think we should all declare a do-over! Have a great week 🙂
