Sunday Post | 38th Edition

April 27, 2014 Sunday Post 24

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

Hi y’all! I’m back! You may not have noticed, since I had several blog posts scheduled already but I’ve been on a 3 week break. Not on purpose, but I just fell into a deep slump. I’ve spent the last few weeks doing little more than what I absolutely have to. I haven’t fallen into a slump like that in quite a while and I started emerging earlier this week when I started seriously reading again. And I woke up this morning, read a few blog posts (I’ve still been reading the ones that get emailed to me) and decided today was a good day to come back. So here I am! I have to say – it’s been super encouraging to know that even though I was out of it, y’all were still here – I got so many comments on my already scheduled blog posts (all comments are emailed to me, so I was still reading them) and it just made me realize how much I love this community! Anyway thanks for not leaving me just because I was incommunicado for a while – have a great week 🙂

About Berls
Berls has been a book lover her whole life. She reads pretty much every genre and is currently working hard at making her childhood dream of becoming an author come true. She loves sharing her thoughts about books, blogging, and just random fun stuff. She's a challenge and read-a-thon junkie, so it's no wonder that she loves co-hosting the COYER reading challenge. Welcome back! I think all of us have had to take a break at some point, whether because we’re on vacation or just burnt out. I did notice you weren’t around as much, but you had a few good reviews posted. (Sorry; I don’t always comment on them. I probably should be better about that. And of course, I missed a few, too.)

I notice you got Scarlet and Cress, BTW. Awesome! Enjoy!

Oh I can’t comment on everything I read either – it’s just impossible – and I can’t read everything everyone I like to follow does either, so no worries there 🙂 It’s good to be back and (as you can see) I’m still playing comment catch up. Probably will be doing that for a LONG time!!

Sometimes I fall into a reading/blogging slump unintentionally too. The book blogging community is a really nice place and it’s nice to receive comments on your blog posts, it’s nice to know that you write posts engaging and interesting enough for people to share your thoughts with you. Have a lovely week! my sunday post: http://wp.me/3v5T1

Oh yes, Saturday’s post is a little bit of a rant (not a mean one, I hope, but a rant just the same). King is just a look at a drool-worthy cover, because (unfortunately) the book hasn’t come out yet. And the publish date is TBD 🙁

Thanks Carol – It’s good to be back 🙂 I’m super excited about my haul because most of them are audio books that I got for free! That doesn’t happen often enough and those suckers are expensive. So I’m a happy girl 😀

Thanks Kimba, I really am feeling much better and glad to be back. And Written in Red is like 3 books away from being listened to now – but I decided to grab it since I only needed one more purchase to earn the $10 credit from audible this month and Written in Red isn’t at any of my local libraries on audio. Can’t wait to read it, everyone seems to love it so much!

Thanks Bea! It’s good to be back – the slump was frustrating especially since I’d finally gotten to this point on the blog where I was ahead on posts and caught up on comments. Now (as you can see) I’m playing catch up. Oh well, I’ll get there again, I’m sure.

Thanks Colletta – it feels good to be back. Clearly I’m still very behind trying to reply to all these comments though, so sorry it’s taken me a week to reply. Hope you had a great week!!
