Sunday Post | 35th Edition

March 23, 2014 Sunday Post 38

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

I don’t have a whole ton to report –  maybe this is a no news is good news scenario? It’s been great to be caught up on comments and I’ve managed to stay caught up. And I’m still ahead on posts and I remembered to cross-post my reviews from the week this weekend. It’s crazy, the blog is so easy to maintain when I’m not behind! In fact, I saw that they have a bloggiesta coming up this weekend and I don’t actually have anything that I desperately NEED to do! That’s a first since I started blogging!

At home – I’m really hoping we’ll continue to have pretty weather because this weekend – March 29th – is my first ever 5k! I’m super excited and a wee-bit nervous. I’ll be walking most of it, with jogging intervals, so my time won’t be amazing, but my only goal is to do it! It also happens to be the BF’s birthday, so we’ll be celebrating all day – my 1st 5k and his 40th Birthday!

#COYER Participants – Don’t forget we’ve got the twitter party today at 4pm EST! We’ve got lots of great prizes to giveaway, so come chat with us 🙂

It feels great to be on top of things, doesn’t it? I hope I can get back to that soon! 😉

Not to repeat what everyone else said, but (oh what the heck) Wow, that’s a lot of freebies!

Best of luck on your 5K this week. Now I’m off to check out some of your links etc. Have a great week!

It really does – good luck getting there! The hardest part is getting caught up, but maintaining isn’t near as hard 🙂

Yeah- I went a little freebie crazy! I hope I can get to all of them this lifetime! And thanks, I’m looking forward to the 5k!
      Happy reading!

Wow, look at all those lovelies! You were definitely the Freebie Queen last week. 😀 Good luck with your 5K and have fun. I’m going to check out a couple of the posts you linked to and that’s fantastic about being ahead! I use a calendar and it really helps.

    Happy reading!

Thanks – I’m really looking forward to the 5k, even if I know my time won’t be too good. The calendar system I’ve finally started using is a life saver. I spent a lot of time trying to develop a system and I’m relieved to finally have one that works for me.

      Have a great week 🙂

LOL yeah, I got a wee-bit excited about all the freebies 😀 It feels great to be on top of things. I’ve finally got a system that seems to work really well. I take care of the blog every night from 9pm – 11pm, starting with writing at least one post and then answering comments and visiting blogs. I stop at 11 no matter what – but I also stay focused on the tasks at hand during that time and it’s amazing what having a system will do!

None of my comment replies are showing up on the page, but they are showing in the dashboard. Can you let me know you got this reply? Thanks!

Thanks! I was replying from the comments dashboard area – using my new plugin to see who I still needed to reply to – and none of my replies were appearing on the post itself. It looked as if I hadn’t replied. But they are all here this morning, so I guess there was just a lag or something.

I am happy to say I am a bit ahead for the first time but we need to go over again how you do that so I don’t get behind 🙂

I was messing around with but haven’t really been back to it in a while. Really need to check it out again. So many things to keep up with lol

I think once I can get all my review posts fix I will feel so much better.

All those pretty books you got…I didn’t get any this week since I want to try and get through a few of the ones I already have.

LOL – it’s all in the calendar and having a set plan for doing things. I think it’s the only reason I’m staying caught up. I haven’t spent much time with BB.NET either – I just don’t have enough hours in the day to keep up with everything!

Bloodfire I couldn’t resist and actually paid money for when I couldn’t find it in a library, despite my efforts to keep a very strict book budget. It just sounds too good! I wasn’t able to squeeze it into my review calendar until May, but I’m still excited to read it. I’m curious about The Weird Sister too – the reviews on goodreads are so polar opposites – either people loved it or hated it, so that made me even more curious.

LOL I think I’ll be more brisk walking than anything – I want so badly to be a runner, but I don’t have good knees and with this being my first 5k I don’t want to push too hard. I’m really looking forward to the experience though, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.

You’ve raked in the Kindle Freebies 🙂 good girl. Thanks also for the great post on FB. I don’t keep a FB page for the blog, I mean I have my personal FB for family and friends but that’s about it. Seems like it’s a lot of effort for very little output. Have a great week and Happy Reading.

I sure did 🙂 I’m trying really hard to stick to my budget and seem to be really going for the freebies. I agree about FB – I’m keeping my page, but not really putting much effort into it anymore.

      Have a great week!

Oh you’ve got some great books this week and so many freebies. I always miss them, damn. I know that my co-blogger loved Pretty When she Dies so I hope you’ll enjoy it too. Great haul 🙂

Lots of kindle freebies! I got the Jasinda Wilder book as well and I think I might snag the Lauren Blakely book too 🙂 That’s the problem with freebies, they are too hard to resist.
And my audible credit comes in next week, I can’t wait! I’m a new convert but I’m hooked 🙂
    Have a great week.

Yay! A new audio book junkie!! Have you been to yet? It took me too long to discover, but they have audiobooks up for review, very much like Netgalley 🙂

  7. Angie

Looks like you have some good links to other bloggers posts.. about to check those out. Good luck on the 5K, I can’t believe it’s already here. It’s been fun to read about your journey getting ready for it. I am sure you will post an update post on book blog walkers and I really look forward to that. They are fun and you will feel so great once it’s over!

Thanks Angie – I can’t believe it’s already here either! I will definitely write about it on my Book Blog Walkers post (and probably sunday post too). Have a great week 🙂
