Sunday Post | 33rd Edition

March 9, 2014 Sunday Post 26

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

Holy smokes I’m exhausted! If you hadn’t noticed, I’ve been very low profile this past week – especially considering that an event I’m co-hosting just kicked off. By the way, I plan to do some serious catching up with that today – I’m very impressed by how much has happened in that past week. Anyway – the reason is that I had to make a trip to St. Louis for some school stuff. I knew this trip was coming, but the dates were a little different than I had originally expected. I left February 27th and didn’t get back until yesterday afternoon (March 8th). And I pretty much just did the bare minimum on the blog to survive. But I’m back and ready to get back at it! I hope everyone’s been having a great start to March 🙂

I haven’t managed to keep up with posts too well. But a reminder: Thursday March 13th – Monday March 17th is Kimba’s Ides of March Readathon. Those of you participating in either #COYER or #TakeControlTBR should totally jump in for a reading boost (not that you have to be participating in either event to join the readathon)!

New Additions to My Shelf

*Shopping Cart Links will take you to Amazon/Audible, Info Links will take you to Goodreads*

All the travel has kept me from adding books to my shelves… I think this is probably a good thing!

How was your week? Don’t forget to spring forward those clocks!

It really does get in the way! doesn’t Life know I have a blog to run? LOL Oh and having books will not be a problem if I read a book a day for at least the next year LOL

    • Berls

Thanks! I should have probably said my already scheduled posts because I didn’t really “do” anything last week lol.

Oh and I also loved Wild Things – really looking forward to the next one in August!

Berls, your “bare minimum” is a lot more than mine! I’ve been pretty much off-line most of the past week (and most of the coming week) due to a freelance project that turned out to be more time-consuming than expected. (Lots more.) I think you did great to do as much as you did, with all you have on your plate.

Thanks Lark! I had all those posts pre-scheduled so I didn’t really “do” anything all week, with the exception of this post I think. And a lot of those posts are from the week prior because I didn’t have a Sunday post last week.

Sounds like you’ve got your hands pretty full too! Good luck with the project!

Thank goodness – if only I could keep my itchy one-click finger away from the freebies long enough to make a real dent!

    • Berls

They really mess with me when we spring forward – I hate waking up when it’s so dark out. I always wake up before the sun, but I can usually see it coming when we fall back.

    • Berls

Thanks to your calendar I was able to maintain! Seriously, you should like sell your method or something. It was the first time since the blog started that I had scheduled posts when I needed them!

WAIT!!! Did I get more books then you this week!!! I wasn’t able to add the others I got to my post but wow…I. AM. SHOCKED!! 😉

So glad you had a safe trip home and back in the swing of things. I really should do a COYER update post. I failed on this weeks updates we have been so crazy and now Julia might be sick. I dont know why but I think once spring comes everything will calm down, At least I hope so.

Have a great week and I hope we can get a day to chat soon!!! Want to hear all about your trip 🙂

Don’t worry – I’ll have made up for this week with tomorrow’s haul 😉

I hope Julia’s feeling better – and it feels like Spring is finally coming, so here’s hoping we’ll have a better time of it!

Yeah, while it can be sad not to add any shiny new pretties to the shelves, it does give you a chance to catch up with your TBR pile! Happy Reading this week!

So weird, I keep trying to type my name with blog name in it and it only ever posts my name and not my blog’s. Weird…

      • Berls

So weird – I just noticed that seems to be happening with everyone who comments… I’m going to go see if it’s something amiss in my settings. Thanks for mentioning it, I probably wouldn’t have noticed otherwise.

    • Berls

Thanks Jessica! I hope you’ve had a great week! I was hoping I’d take advantage of this 1 week dry spell to make some space on my eReader but I’ve picked up way too many books this week – like I’m trying to compensate or somethign..

    • Berls

It’s like you predicted my future – I’m getting ready to do tomorrow’s Sunday post and I’m dreading putting together all the books I grabbed. *sigh* I will never make a dent in my TBR….

    • Berls

Thanks Angie – it was all the prescheduled posts. I did pretty mo no blog work that week and I’m just now getting caught up. Phew! I hate getting behind.

    • Berls

Don’t feel bad Bea, I’m supposed to be a co-host and I’m doing pretty horribly. We’ve still got a couple weeks to rock it!
