#COYER & #TakeControlTBR Week 4 Update

March 24, 2014 Challenges & Readathons, COYER 10

Wow! Can y’all believe we’re already on the fourth week of March? I certainly can’t! I’m thrilled to say that, despite my rocky start, both #COYER and #TakeControlTBR are going really well for me at this point and I believe I will be surpassing my goals!! Here’s my week 4 update:

#COYER

The highlight of COYER this past week was the Twitter Party yesterday! It was loads of fun so a huge thank you to everyone who came out. We’ll be sending out all your prizes shortly.

One of my goals has been to comment on at least every other review posted into the COYER linky and I’m pleased to report that after catching up before last week’s update, I’ve managed to stay caught up. And y’all are seriously rocking it! We have 125 reviews linked up as of the time I’m writing this post (Sunday evening), so that’s incredible. Let’s sprint to the finish line!!

That’s exactly my goal too – sprinting to that finish line. I’ve posted six reviews so far and I’m currently working on my seventh read (which I really hope to finish reading before this post goes live) – Killing Sarai by J.A. Redmerski. That was an unexpected change to the reading plans and it’s so good, I’m really glad I squeezed it in. I’m hoping to get Seconds Before Sunrise by Shannon A. Thompson read and reviewed by Friday – it’s another last minute add (I read book 1 earlier this month and loved it, so when Shannon offered me book 2, I had to make it fit!). And then if I can possibly make it happen, I’ll read and review one more book for Monday, March 31st. I had hoped to make a dent in NetGalley books this month, but I haven’t read any yet! So I’ll make sure that last book, if I fit it in is a Netgalley. If I do, that will bring my total to 9 books, which is one more than my goal! Either way, I’m going to make my goal 🙂

Oh, and don’t forget those challenges! I’ve done the first two now and this week I’ll be heading over to Felicia’s challenge to SPELL MY NAME IN COYER TITLES. If you haven’t hurry, you’re running out of time 🙂

How’s COYER going for you?

#TakeControlTBR

My goal for Take Control was also 8 books and I’m pretty sure I’m going to make it too! The book review posting today and the Shannon A. Thompson book for Friday won’t count, but both the book reviews I posted last week count. With the audio review that I posted to goodreads for Whisper Cape that brings my total to six – 3 audio books and 3 books. My review for Killing Sarai will count, and if I manage to finish my current audio read, Sacrificial Magic by Stacia Kane, that will count too. So I’ll definitely get seven, but there’s a chance of eight and maybe even a ninth if I do read another COYER book.

How’s Take Control going for you?
Both challenges have been super fun and I’m pleased with how I’m doing!

I’ve really backed off with the tours this year too – the pressure was taking away the fun. I still do one here and there, but only if I know I’ll have plenty of time and the book is really calling to me.

I’m so glad you recommended I read it – to think I’ve had it since November and just forgot about it. Now that I have my calendar that won’t be happening anymore 🙂

Thanks Tanja! There will be many more opportunities I’m sure – so hopefully we won’t have to miss you next time 🙂

Yikes, no fun! I used to suffer from really bad migraines, so I know how bad they can be. 🙁 We missed you, but I’m glad you took care of yourself!
