Sunday Post | 29th Edition

February 2, 2014 Sunday Post 16

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

I seriously can’t believe it’s already February! January went too fast and I’m not at all caught up :/

I’m actually starting to panic a bit because March 7th I’m supposed to be having a paper work shopped at a reading groupΒ  meeting in St. Louis. I’ll have to give them the paper at least a week in advance, and I need to have my advisor look over it before then, which means I should probably be sending it to him yesterday. I’m not ready and I’m seriously regretting letting myself be pressured into doing this. It’s just reason #101 that I need to hurry up and just be done with grad school. Other than that, I guess things are going well at home.

In my blog world I’m also behind, but I guess that for me that’s kind of just normal at this point. I hope to change it, but not so sure it will every happen. This past week I had the exciting opportunity to read the 1st draft of the sequel to one of my favorite books last year by Marie Hall. It was one of those moments that I love about blogging. And the book going to be great y’all!

Also – don’t forget that COYER signups are open! If you didn’t join us last time or hear about it before – COYER is the Clean Out Your E-reader Challenge, where we spend a month reading and reviewing eBooks we got for free and have been neglecting. For more details and to sign up go to the sign-up post. And we’re still looking for mini-challenge hosts. If you’re interested send me an email.

Best of luck with your paper, Berls. And don’t give up on grad school. You can do it!

As for next week, “Do you have 2 identities” is a great questions. (Yes, I do, for a lot of reasons.) I look forward to your answer!

Thanks Lark, I’m going to take it a day at a time at this point. πŸ™‚

I’m totally excited to hear if we have the same reasons for having tow identities (and if we have the two same kinds of identities)

I know! I’ll probably get a month ahead in no time once school is over LOL! Thanks Greg – have a great week πŸ™‚

Thanks. I know you’re right. That’s the plan for tomorrow. I gave myself the weekend, but tomorrow that’s all I’m doing all day. And probably all day Tuesday too. πŸ™ Thankfully I have a rough draft written already and it just needs some major additions and edits. It SHOULD be doable.

Good luck with the paper workshop. My adviser keeps promising that my dissertation is ready to submit and then proceeds to make me spend a month editing one paragraph. We won’t mention that there are chunks of it he hasn’t read.

LOL I could definitely see my advisor doing that. But OMG you’re so close! Congrats, that’s a huge accomplishment and even if he’s being edit-crazy, you’re on the precipice!

Thanks Bea! I’ll survive and then it will be over πŸ™‚ A Charming Crime looked like a good one, hope you enjoy it!

I know, I’m really excited that I found that special! I was going to get it no matter what, but when I found it on audible on sale, I was like this is a mistake….it probably was actually, because I haven’t seen it at that price since. So even bigger yay πŸ™‚

And thanks – I hope I will too. My blog is my happy place, why can’t it be my job?

  3. Michelle

You seriously amaze me with all the books you get every week lol.
    Thanks for the mention πŸ™‚

I can’t wait till you are finished either you are totally under to much stress and it’s not healthy for you to be that stressed but soon it will be all over and you wont know what to do with all that time..
My guess will be to read πŸ˜‰

Yeah, I need to stop shopping and start reading! But I can’t help it, I read reviews and I want the books! LOL

And yep – I’ll totally read (and blog) with the extra time. I can’t tell you how much I just want to quit.
