Sunday Post | 18th Edition

November 10, 2013 Sunday Post 21

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic November! I just realized that it’s the 9th (though you’ll be reading this on the 10th), which means my blog is officially 4 months old! I seriously can’t believe that my blog has become such a dominant part of my life and has connected me to so many great people – if you had asked me 4 months ago if I thought it would ever be like this, I would have declared it impossible.

It’s also the first full week of the Clean out your E-reader Challenge and I have to say I’m blown away by how amazing everyone is doing. I have a lot of reviews to catch up on before the weekend is over and I can’t wait! I’ve really enjoyed seeing the progress on twitter – remember we’re using #COYER to keep up with everyone! And today the first mini-challenge kicks off! This week are fabulous host is Cerian @ Rookie Romance  and she’s got a Book Spine Poetry Challenge for us. Be sure to check it out before the end of the day Saturday for a chance at her giveaway.

I’m also have a blast with the Ho-Ho-Ho Read-a-thon hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Jennifer @ The Bawdy Book Blog. So far I’ve been focusing on my reading and haven’t really done as much socializing as I would have liked – but I have today and tomorrow still, so I’m hoping to get to the challenges and everyone’s posts today. Fingers crossed!

Oh and I finally figured out a way to move the Blogs I Stalk to a separate page (me and every single galley app seemed to have an intense dislike for each other) so I moved that over. I think it helps the page load time, plus it’s so much easier to see everyone this way! I’ll be adding to it gradually – I have a couple that I already know I want to add – so don’t feel bad if you’re not there yet. I’m behind on everything – it seems to be the story of my life right now.

That’s it for me – everyone have a great week 🙂

Thanks! I’m looking forward to them (I’ve already read the Kim Harrison books, but I love them so much I’m doing rereads. Have a great week!

This week has been a bit crazy, but I am hoping to get more books read for #COYER this week. The first book I started for #COYER hasn’t hooked me, and I think it has slowed me down.

    • Berls

Oh I hate when that happens. One mediocre book can really throw off everything. Maybe ditch it for a bit and come back later? Good luck!

Happy 4 months! It goes by quick doesn’t it? Glad you’re having fun with the read-a-thon, have a great rest of the weekend!

LOL I’ve had weeks where I couldn’t list them all either, it would just be too much. But I’m trying to seriously get my book list to something semi manageable. To do that, I’m going to have to stop buying everything that sounds even sort of good.

LOL thanks 🙂 I can’t believe it’s only been 4 months, this blog has become such a huge part of my life I feel like I’ve been doing it forever!

Thanks Kimba. I’m glad it helped with load time – that’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, but I think my knowledge of code was too elementary or something. I just kept getting very weird looking pages. I’m almost caught up – I mean I’m replying to this comment on the same day!! So incredibly excited 🙂

Thanks Michelle. I really liked Memory’s Wake and the pics were great. I kind of wasted a lot of time just starring at them LOL.

    • Berls

Thanks Vilia! If I didn’t love this so much it would be a different scenario. My school work, for example, is seriously just keeping up – because I’m over it (last semester of course work)!

Thanks Trish! It really is incredible the time blogging takes (I love it though). I love Kim Harrison and actually have read all the books so far, but she’s doing this read-a-long and when she reads the books they’re on sale for $1.99 so I’m scooping them up. And when you buy a book on kindle that’s also on audible you get it for cheaper, so I’m buying the audiobook too. That’s how much I love this series!
