Sunday Post | 17th Edition

November 3, 2013 Sunday Post 22

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

October was an awesome month and it just flew by! I hope everyone had a great time with all my Something Wicked Book Reviews and Guest posts – I know I did 🙂 November is shaping up to be just as crazy – I’ve given up on any belief that I might actually keep up and will just do my best. I seem to stay about a week behind on comments, so just know that I will get back to you ASAP – that just might be further away than I’d like.

We launched the Clean out your E-reader Challenge on November 1st and I’m so thrilled to see all the activity! Thanks to everyone who’s participating – you’ve already made it so much fun! To go along with the challenge I launched a new feature last week called Free Book Friday. I’m thinking I might keep it going after the challenge ends – we’ll see if people enjoy it. And I’m also participating in NaNoWriMo this month (Yes, I really truly am crazy!), and I think it’s going to be the kick in the butt I needed. So far, I’m on goal for words per day. Finally, super excited for the Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon which kicks off November 7th! If you haven’t you, totally go sign up!

New Additions to My Shelf

I’m pretty proud of the restraint I showed this week. I picked up some Freebies, but my purchases were carefully thought out. I couldn’t resist getting the entire Experiment in Terror series for $0.99 each, since I’ve been wanting to read it forever. Still on sale, by the way 🙂

LOL yeah sleep is elusive lately! Or I sleep and get behind. It’s a vicious circle. I just want to do everything!

Thanks for understanding about comments – I’m trying really hard to get caught up, but as you can see, I’m still a week behind :/ Hope you had a great week!

Thanks Vilia! Yeah, hard core is right! But I think that it’s doing what I needed it to do, making me actually sit down and write. I don’t manage to sit down every day, but in short bursts I’m managing to stay fairly up-to-date with the word counts. Hopefully it doesn’t suck LOL!

I hope you found some fun freebies! Amazon does a pretty good job on that front most times 🙂 Hope you had a great week!

Thanks Kimba – it has been insane, but also fun 🙂 I’m enjoying the Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon right now, just wishing it lasted longer since I haven’t managed to read quite as much as I wanted to. There’s just not enough time in the day!

I’m very addicted to Kindle Freebies. We have a tumultuous relationship in which I buy them and forget about them for way to long and they yell at me for being an irresponsible book buyer LOL But I’m really excited about the books I grabbed, so maybe we’ll have a healthier experience this week!

Thanks Jan! It has been insanely busy, which is why I’m so late responding to your comment (sorry!). I’m having a great time though and hopefully I’ll get caught up today 🙂 Hope you’ve had a great week!

Hi Berls! I’m looking forward to reading your post on “How To Prevent Burnout” coz I think I’m experiencing one right now. I’ve been in a reading funk right now and totally do not want to read or blog. Have you experienced such a thing before? How did you overcome it?

Thanks Jessica – since I’m a week behind the burn out post is up now LOL! I think that’s what motivated be that post – I’m constantly behind right now and I have a feeling burn out could be coming any time. So I’m trying to prevent it… fingers crossed I’ll be able to!
