Teaser Tuesdays | Kitty and the Midnight Hour

October 15, 2013 Teaser Tuesdays 14

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Share links to your post in the comments below – or, if you don’t have a blog, share your teaser in the comments.

Just do the following:
1. Grab your current read.

2. Open to a random page.

3. Share (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.

4. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! Make sure what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!

5. Share the title and author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like the teaser!

Goodreads

Kitty Norville is a midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station – and a werewolf in the closet. Her new late-night advice show for the supernaturally disadvantaged is a raging success, but it’s Kitty who can use some help. With one sexy werewolf-hunter and a few homicidal undead on her tail, Kitty may have bitten off more than she can chew?

I’ve been wanting to start this series forever and in one of the reading groups I belong to on Shelfari, for this month’s challenge we let other members pick 5 of our reads. Thankfully this was one of the books picked for me – and I’m loving it. In fact, I may be finished before this post goes live, because I’m eating it up.

My Teaser

“I’ve been trying to change the subject!” Not that he’d know it from the past 15 minutes. I wondered what would happen if I called his bluff. “But hey, thanks for calling!”

It’s a fun cover – I found myself looking at it more closely when I was setting up this post and realizing elements that I hadn’t picked up on before – it really matches the book. I enjoyed it – I think I’ll be giving it 4 stars!

Boy do I know the feeling! Well, I really enjoyed it (finished last night) so I’d recommend pushing it up the list. It’s a quick, fun read.

I never made it past the first book of this series. And it has werewolves in it so there must be something wrong with me!! LOL But one of the quotes from this novel has always stuck with me: “What the hell kind of name is Kitty for a werewolf?” I just love it. LOL

      LOL I love that line!

I deleted your duplicate comment for you ;)but I just realized I may have deleted the wrong one, because I could have sworn you said something about Kitty being kind of a weak character. I think she’s definitely not your kick-butt character in this book, but I also think she’s growing – I see potential. And I kinda love her ability to get herself into loads of trouble. Very relatable.

Hmm I haven’t read any Jamie McGuire, but I just went and checked out Red Hill and it sounds promising. I’ll have to look for your review, I hope you like it better than Beautiful Disaster.
