Sunday Post | 14th Edition

October 13, 2013 Sunday Post 22

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.

This past week has been one of recovery – I’m feeling much better! – and catching up. I slept pretty much all last weekend and the result was not only getting better but getting seriously behind. And considering that this was midterm week, I chose a bad time to fall behind. My students had their midterms on Tuesday, which means I’ve had lots of grading to do, plus a grading meeting to align grades with the other TAs. And I had a midterm in one of my classes – which I think I may have bombed :/- and I also had a teaching evaluation on Friday! So it was a busy week, but I survived it!

I’m also behind where I’d like to be with the blog – but I think I’ll be able to keep up 🙂 On a fun note, I was really bored in this conference I had to go to on Friday for school and ended up writing a chapter for a book I’ve been tossing around in my head for a while. I’m sure it looked like I was really engaged too, since I was scribbling away – just not taking notes LOL!  Anyway – here’s to another great week!

Oh I’m glad to hear Rewrite Redemption is good, I’ve been looking forward to it. I can’t start on the Shelly Crane books until next month at least, but I’ll look forward to hearing what you think!

LOL – glad to know I’m not the only one! I’ve been to some good ones, but this was just long and my attendance was mandatory. Might as well make use of the time some how!

Thanks – I’m excited about all of them. If only I could start them all right now LOL. Have a great week 🙂

Thanks for following Michelle 🙂 Yeah I never realized just how much more busy midterms would be for a TA until the grading started and it still hasn’t stopped LOL!

I’m glad to hear Significance was enjoyable – I can weather slow parts, if the final product is good.

Thanks! LOL me too with the midterm… you know sometimes you just think you’ve done badly on an exam and you haven’t really.

      Thanks for following 🙂

Yeah, I seem to have gotten a little excited with my calendar in October. It’ll slow a bit in November, I can’t keep this pace up! LOL

Oh and I’ve got big hopes for Darkness Watching too *fingers crossed*

LOL it’s an important skill! In my experience most meetings are pointless and don’t need me to pay that much attention.

You’re writing your own book, that’s great! I’ve had some ideas myself, but have never put them to paper yet. I’m probably just scared I’m going to realize I suck at writing 😀 But I want to have writing as a hobby, just for myself.
You got some great books! I also snatched a lot of Kindle freebies these last 14 days 🙂

Well we’ll see if it’s great or not. LOL I’ve always loved writing, but I recently got some encouragement from a published author who read something short of mine and really enjoyed it. It made me think I should reconsider giving writing a serious go. Either way, I’m enjoying it, so I guess that’s what really counts. You should write if you enjoy it!

I love steamy reads – I can’t read them one after the other, but they sure are a nice interlude to some of my more serious reads. 😉 And who doesn’t love free books, right? I need to learn some restrain with that 1 click button though LOL
