The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead – and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.
In my personal life, this week was pretty normal. I’m in my last semester of class work for my Master’s degree in History and I have a major case of senioritis. Technicaly I don’t finish until May, but knowing that my course work will be done by the end of December and I finally be able to move back to Texas (I’m in Missouri for Grad school) makes the end of the semester a bigger deal for me. I miss everything about Texas from my step-son, brother, and parents to friends and weather. And I’m just ready to be done and get back to a regular job. So this semester is going by very very slowly.
On the plus side, I have my blog and my books and all my new blogger friends. And this week was exciting as always on Fantasy is More Fun. The biggest thing that happened was that I was one of the Featured Bloggers on Parajunkee and Alison Can Read’s Feature & Follow Friday Blog Hop. Not only did Alison post a quick interview with me (which was fun), but I was able to meet a bunch of new bloggers. That was just the highlight to a really great week in the blogosphere!

This week was full of great happenings on the blogosphere – I’ll try to highlight my favorites, but I’m sure I’ve missed a few!
Chloe Neill is running a contest to get your name in a Chicagoland Vampires novel and the kicker? All you have to do to get an entry is make a donation to The Greater Chicago Food Depository. And it get’s better! Chloe is matching donations, dollar for dollar, up to $2500! Getting my name in a CV book would be cool, but knowing my entry is helping such a great cause is even better. If you haven’t yet, go make a donation (starting as low as like $3).
This must have been the week for cover’s I’m dying for, because Patricia Briggs next Mercy Thompson book Night Broken also had a cover reveal, including sketches of the artist work in-progress. Not to mention a neat interview with Jaime, the cover model for Mercy, and Dan, the cover artist. I’m getting really excited for this one!
A favorite feature of mine has always been The Book Nympho’s What the Feck? and I really enjoyed this week’s discussion about this new emerging genre we’re calling New Adult.
Nose Graze posted a really interesting discussion piece – How to Write Great Reviews… By Not Trying To.
I love love love books that tear me up emotionally. So I sucked up Under The Cover’s post “Top Ten Ugly Cry Books” and was shocked to discover I was reading one of them. Until later this week when I hit the ugly cry scene, while riding the bus of course.
Last, but certainly not least, Kimba had a really great post as part of her Caffeinated Confessions series – Drama, Mama, NOT! Some really great thoughts on how we can all do our part to make our part of the blogosphere drama free!
